Privacy Policy

Sudoku AI is a small project — a place to play Sudoku and actually learn how the puzzles work. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to data when you use the site. No legalese for its own sake.
The short version: there's no sign-up, and I don't collect your name, your email, or anything that identifies you personally. You can play without an account.
What lives on your device
A handful of preferences are kept in your browser's local storage — the language you picked, your AI tutor settings, and similar odds and ends. They never leave your machine unless you clear them, and nothing is used to build a profile of you.
What gets sent to the server
When you ask the AI tutor to explain a move, the current board (the numbers on the grid) is sent to our API to be analysed, then passed to DeepSeek, the language model that writes the explanation. That request carries the puzzle state and your tutor preferences — nothing about who you are. These boards aren't logged against any identity.
Analytics
I may use a privacy-friendly analytics tool such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Google Analytics to get a rough sense of how many people stop by and which pages they read. It's aggregate and anonymous — visit counts, rough location, that kind of thing — not individual tracking.
Advertising
This site may show ads through Google AdSense. A few things worth knowing:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit here and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- Where consent is legally required, you'll be asked before any non-essential cookies are set.
Cookies
Apart from the advertising and analytics cookies described above, the site itself doesn't set tracking cookies. Feel free to block cookies in your browser — the puzzles will still work fine.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. Anything significant will be hard to miss.

存在你设备上的
几个偏好会放进浏览器的本地存储——你选的语言、AI 导师的设置之类的零碎。除非你自己清掉，它们不会离开你的电脑，也不会被拿去给你建什么画像。
会发到服务器的
当你让 AI 导师讲某一步时，当前盘面（格子上的数字）会发到我们的接口做分析，再转给写讲解的语言模型 DeepSeek。这个请求带的是题目状态和你的导师偏好——跟你是谁无关。这些盘面不会跟任何身份绑定后存起来。
统计分析
我可能会用对隐私友好的统计工具（比如 Cloudflare Web Analytics 或 Google Analytics）大致看看有多少人来逛、哪些页面有人读。都是汇总后的匿名数据——访问量、大概的地区这类，不是盯着个人的跟踪。
广告
本站可能通过 Google AdSense 展示广告。有几点你应该清楚：
- 包括 Google 在内的第三方厂商会使用 Cookie，根据你过去对本站及其他网站的访问来投放广告。
